Hiring a Private Detective
Many people have never hired a private detective before and wonder what to expect. Most feel we are similar to ones depicted on TV. These are not really accurate portrayals. We are professionals, there are no high speed car chases or gun fire.
One of the most important aspects of hiring a private detective agency is TRUST! You must feel comfortable and know they will approach your request with the utmost effort. Don't be afraid to ask any questions before you hire us or any other private detective firm. All of our investigators are licensed and insured. Whom ever you choose should be licensed by the State of Georgia.

| What does it normally cost to hire a Private Detective? |
It depends on the type of case assignment, area of the county and the firm accomplishing the work. Our rates range from $65 - $85 per hour plus expenses. |
| Can a Private Detective conduct surveillance on anyone anywhere and is it legal? |
Yes. Accomplishing surveillance is something we do all the time. There are really very few limitations except for placing cameras or recoding devices inside of private homes or areas. If you do things in public, or which can be "viewed" by the public, it is generally something which a PI's can use to develop information on your activities. |
| Would you recommend a "regular person" try to do a surveillance on their own? |
No. Surveillance is often dangerous and complicated. For this to be achieved correctly, it requires training and experience. If knowing someone's activity is important, hire a professional who will give you court admissible evidence. |
| Can I follow my spouse and see what is going on? |
No. In most states including Georgia it is illegal to follow or track someone even your spouse. It is now called STALKING. These laws do not hamper PI's when it comes to surveillance of subjects. |
| When should I consider requesting a background check from a Private Detective firm? |
It has been our experience over the years that if the situation is important enough to affect your personal, business, or financial future, strong consideration should be given to a background check. This is especially important if you have a "gut" feeling something is wrong or the person is not always open regarding past activities or issues. In today's world we often don't trust our instincts enough. They are usually very accurate! |
